Charles was employed at American Motors Corp. for 20 years until retirement in 1982 and was a member of the Union Local retirees. He was a member of St.

Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church and the Bixby Hanson American Legion Post No. 171, both of Union Grove. Surviving are his wife, Isabelle; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Barbara Alby of Fair Oaks, CA; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Mike Theigs of Paddock Lake, WI; eight grandchildren, one sister, Evelyn Alby of Racine; two brothers, Menzo (Rosalie) Alby of Union Grove, Robert (Joan) Alby of Atlanta, GA; two sisters-in-law, Doris Alby of Burling. ton and Genevieve Alby of Ocala, FL; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
