HOSEISLE ACCIDENT. We are pained to record an accideut which happened yesterday morning on the Railroad, by which a well known citizen of this citv, Mr. Roswell Canfield was almost instantly killed. The of the melancholy affair, as near as we can have them, are substantially as follows A vessel belouging to Mr. was unloading a cargo of timber near the lied Bridge, on the east side of the river, and he wishing to go to her on some business, started from his lumber yard on the west side, crossed Fourth street Bridge, and went down the bluff to the Railroad track just north of the Bryau warehouse.
