LAXGSTROTirS Jfo-Patent Moveable Comb Ilee Hire. One of tho3e Hives has been loft with us for exhibition. It took the premium at the United States Fair and all the State Fairs. Mr. L.

lias Kt'n constantly engaged for nineteen years in perfecting hi live and its management, and i no stretch, of imagination to say that the hire i as near perfection as any invention of the present age and that it will eventually supercede all others With the least eare the worm can never destroy the swarm in the hive. It is either a scanning or a uoit swarming hive, at the pleasure of the owner, M. M. Quiuby.of sold the past year over 20.000 pouuds of honey. Ha fact my yield ia doubled since I introducedMr.

hiv. Tb Comb can be readily removed with entire aafety to the bees as well as to the operator so that a stranger to the process feels utterly astonished looking on. Wilmington. Mill Ill Ma. C.

Otis. Since commencing the sale of Rights in this CVuiity I have come in contact several persons who purchased from Mr Langstrorh rights to ue his Moveable Comb Hive. One of the persons referred to said he would not take Five Hundred Dollars and be deprived of his right to use the hive. This i-not the opinion of one man only, but of every one who has used the hive or seen it in Your truly, P. T.

MEAD. This hive can be e-n and examined by call ing at this office. A hive and the individual right to make and ie can bo for $10. A. H- Stevixs of Kenosha Co, ha the right of rUcine and Kenosha Countie.

TTnvnirrr NlCTARINE SQUASH. Froai J. W. BaiGGS, West Maoedon, Wayno N. received a specimen of this squash which was steamed in the manner of steaming pumpkins for pies.

Wc presented tho specimen to our better (not bigger) half, and a council of war was held by the ladies, and the squash tried by a court martial. The unanimous verdict was that it looked like Noctar, tasted like Nectar, and was' Nectar. We have eaten aquaahes that were delicious, but this leaves them all ia the shade. It is a new variety introduced in 1853, and but few of the scedj can.be obtained. For pies or aace, or to bake, we believe it to unequalled.

It is extremely sweet and rich, and had wa not known that it was squash, wwild not have hesitated in pronouncing it a specimen of rich tropical fruit. Their weijrht ia from 30 toAb pounds. Di. M. W.

Phillip. Editor of the "Southern Rural Gentleman," writes to Mr. Briggs that ho is grateful to him for the two seeds sent, and aya that he would not take 81 each for them. Any person calling at our office will-be shown an abundance of testimony of emi-sent agriculturalists in favor of this squash. Mr.

Brigg will spare a few seeds more and forward then by mail tosnj person dssir-ing tkim. Price $1 pr doien. Mr. Briggs forwarded us a few aeeda for wbich will please aeeept our thanks. One of the necessary institutions ia every place ia a good barber-shop, and inside of it a good barber.
