What are our birds doing about this time of the year? Well, the parent birds are busy changing their clothes putting on their traveling suits. September, 'October, and November are not far off. While visiting the Field museum a few years ago, I was fortunate In meeting-the curator while there and on inquiring "Why the Albino." I was told that it waa a mark of weakness of one of the parents, and that one of the parent Robins that I mentioned had mosf likely contracted a cold while on Che spring migratory flight. Albinos are occasionally found among all the species of our wild friends, either beast or fowl, and even among us mortals. I have seen white negroes when tbeir curly heads of hair were light yellow, and also: the pink and restless eyes were, evident. White Birds Unnatural. No later than while looking over a collection of birds, an Albino sparrow was among them.

There are a few naturally white birds that do not have the pink eyes. Among them we find the beautiful Java Sparrow, the 15H1 Bird- of South America. our own showy White Heron and the Atgrette.
